I believe that’s the key. It’s your day. It’s not your parents’ day, or your dear old Aunty Audrey’s day,
and it’s certainly not my day.

But I know what my job is.

My job is to capture the memories of your day and give you a selection of photographs that you can enjoy again and again in the years to come.

So I have to be good with my camera and I have to good with people. And I like to think I score pretty well on both counts.

We will have a meeting before your big day, even a couple of meetings if you like, and we will chat about the type of photos you want, and what sort of role you want me to play.

Some couples like a photographer with the twin abilities of faultless organisation and loud speaking. Other couples prefer a photographer who quietly but effortlessly moves from shot to shot barely being noticed. Most couples opt for someone between the two.

We can talk about this. It’s your day, remember.
